AN AVATAR IS HERE
|
The conversations with the angelic guides continued for several months and so did the teaching. At one point they began to explain their experience of being to me:
As beings of light they do not have the same sensory or emotional capacity that humans do. Whilst we might think of angels as exceptionally lucky and gifted, their range of experience is much more limited than ours. The sensations of the third dimension are something of a mystery to them and they aspire to know them in order that they are more effective in performing their support role. Very few actually get the chance to. Those who do are able to because they have the opportunity to walk the earth as avatars.
If you believe that an avatar is something from a TV show, a virtual reality image or even a persona on a computer you could certainly be forgiven for harbouring this belief. Modern interpretations of the word have somehow lost the origins, although in the Hindu belief system the concept of a deity incarnating in the body of an animal is still well known. And this is what they were describing.
Living a full human lifetime is not possible for angels; even occupying a human body or appearing in human form is something that happens very rarely and for the briefest periods of time. If angels wish to live a whole lifetime, they may only do so by occupying the body of an animal ‘for the duration’ so to speak; but even then there are very limited opportunities. It is difficult and it has great risk of hardship attached to it.
The angel usually enters the body of the animal shortly after it is born, displacing the soul that was waiting to live that lifetime. (If this seems cruel, understand that it is absolutely painless and the incumbent’s life energy is then immediately back at the front of the line for incarnating in another body within micro-seconds.) Like human beings, its knowledge of what it is and all memories are usually lost shortly after birth. If they are able to incarnate in this way there is always a specific purpose attached to that lifetime. Such as the one being performed by the avatar that was with us now.
This revelation sent me reeling. There was an avatar living with us? Here? Now? I saw nothing in the least bit angelic about the dogs as they all seemed quite normal to me. Which one?
Dougal.
The guides explained that it was his purpose to provide protection for me. When someone is learning to be an open channel (which is what, they said, I was to become), in their early development they need to establish a connection with higher realms and vibrations. As they become more open, unwelcome energies can enter into their vibration and subvert them from their purpose, giving inaccurate information and damaging their ability to develop their potential as a messenger for the highest good.
What does it mean: ‘For the highest good’?
As individuals we tend to view our actions as being isolated in their effects i.e. we are only conscious of their impact upon those who are connected in some way to the circumstances of an event.
Each and every action is compromised of an intention and an outcome. Both the intention and the outcome create a vibration. The vibrations go far beyond the immediacy of the circumstances. They carry outwards into the world at large and effect what can be termed the collective consciousness.
When we act for the highest good, in essence it means that there is no harm in what we do and the vibration created is beneficial to all.
In this context Dougal’s presence ensured that the messages that I would be able to deliver could only be beneficial.
Knowing that I would become open to channelling at this time, the angel that had become the avatar Dougal had made a commitment that he would come to be with us to protect me from these energies. The power of his angelic presence acted as a dampening field to negative energies and prevented them from getting through to me.
He would do this up until the point where I was strong enough to cope by myself and would no longer need him. He didn’t necessarily perform this task knowingly since it was his very presence that caused the effect; but he was filling his purpose admirably and my progress as a channel was thus far smooth and uninterrupted. When the task was complete, he would be able to enjoy the pleasures of just being a dog, but he would always be able to provide this protection whilst he was near me.
Once again, I was stunned and a little incredulous. How was it possible? The angels reminded me of my sense that he almost recognised me when we first saw him; and the strange sensation that he was supposed to come home with us. But if he was meant to be with us all along, why had he come via such a convoluted route? Surely we had gotten him by chance?
They assured me that there was no such thing where a matter of this importance was concerned. It had always been intended that he would perform this role, but his route to us was difficult on an intentional, albeit necessary basis:
• We would not have chosen a GBGV as a first breed of dog; it could only have been Kaiti because no other breed would have captivated me in the way the Shar Pei had.
• We would not have chosen a GBGV as a companion for Kaiti as we didn’t know the breed and Kaiti (seemed to) like gundogs.
• We would not have got a third dog that was any bigger than Emily because Sharon wanted a small dog and despite the fact that the breeder bred both Petits and Grands, the larger dogs were never in contention.
• He couldn’t come to us as a puppy because we would never have dreamed of taking another puppy at that time.
• The idea of a fourth dog had not filtered into our consciousness and wouldn’t have. Three was considered outrageous by anybody we met, so we kind of went along with that train of thought.
• We had agreed that we would not have a male dog, since although all of our girls were spayed, we believed males to be generally more work.
• He had to arrive via a known and trusted person (Viv).
• He had to arrive at a specific point in our lives where we would be receptive to another dog.
• And he had to have a hard luck story.
It all started to make some sense, but now I wanted to understand more fully about the nature of avatars, so another question and answer session followed:
Are all avatars dogs?
No, but there is a preponderance of avatars in dog form. This comes about because of how easily dogs are accepted by mankind and integrated into their lives. Smaller numbers come as horses. Preferred bodies used to be cats and it should be noted that in Ancient Egypt cats were revered because the Egyptians believed that many cats would be incarnate angels! They even deified them, hence the cat goddess Bast. These days, cats are a little out of favour because their relationship to humans does not allow them the same degree of acceptance afforded to dogs. This being the case it is therefore quite odd that some also come as rats, although there is a very good reason for this.
What is the purpose of an avatar?
Aside from the physical experience that has already been discussed, avatars arrive with a specific purpose that will relate to the lives of those who they are meant to be with. Dougal’s tale illustrates that the path to that person is not always straightforward, but they will get to where they are meant to be. The purpose is utterly unique to the person and the avatar and cannot be generalised. In the tales that follow, more very specific purposes will be revealed.
Why can’t their role be performed by ‘normal’ dogs?
In all cases their purpose relates to that which they are able to achieve as angelic beings of light that they could not do otherwise. Dougal’s ability to act as a ‘dampening field’ could not be replicated by the average member of the canine population. An avatar’s energies are far and above that of a third dimensional dog.
How many avatars are there?
Avatars are quite rare. Only around .0003% or one in three thousand - of all dogs occupying the planet at any one time are angelic beings. The number is even less in other species.
How can you recognise an avatar?
You can't! There will be absolutely no outward evidence that there is anything special about them whatsoever. However, they will have a very specific energy about them.
How do avatars behave?
Just because an avatar is the embodiment of an angel, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will act like one! The pressures of being an avatar can be great if only because they are trying to squeeze their angelic energy into an earth bound third dimensional body. It is not always an easy or comfortable thing and they respond to the pressures of living accordingly. An avatar is actually less likely to appear angelic than other dogs because of this.
There is also the dimension of their purpose that needs to be added to the equation: Depending upon the nature of its purpose the characteristics displayed by an avatar may be anything from otherworldly to totally doglike! In fact sometimes their tasks involve being highly canine.
The very fact they are being given the opportunity to be an avatar means that they are actually more likely to be doglike just to get the experience and frankly, have fun.
Do avatars know what they are?
Avatars come into the world with varying degrees of consciousness of what they are. For the most part they have no knowledge whatsoever (although I do now know of two ‘fully conscious’ avatars). Their consciousness is related to their tasks; if the nature of the task requires them to intercede immediately, they will know exactly what they are and what they have to do.
If this is not the case they are likely to undergo a transformation at some point in their lives when they need to fulfil their purpose. This may bring about a permanent change in their awareness of themselves that is demonstrable within their character; or it may be a temporary alteration that lasts a matter of minutes.
Do avatars recognise one another?
They have even less knowledge of each other than they do of themselves. For them it is the equivalent of the way in which we humans regard them. They look just the same as ordinary dogs and are indistinguishable. They are cognoscent of their energies being different, but they have no explanation for it.
Do avatars know of their purpose?
Like humans, they have their purpose within their soul DNA but it is rare that they are permitted to remember it at birth. It will come to them when required and they will respond accordingly because they get more input from their higher selves than we do. But essentially an avatar is still allowed to be the creature it has come in as, because that is what it wanted/needed to experience.
When I relayed the information to Sharon we marvelled at the convoluted ways of the universe. We were both saddened and moved by the experience that the avatar Dougal was prepared to go through in order to get to us. It slowly began to dawn on us that there was something much bigger going on than we had hereto imagined
