the story

In 2002, an unusual series of events culminated in Mark Starmer discovering that he had the ability to hear and speak to angels. Bombarded with a mind-boggling range of new and logic defying truths about the world around us, the revelations Mark and his family faced included the knowledge that angels can live amongst us, in animal form. Avatars. Even more importantly, they learned that one of Mark and his wife Sharon's lifetime purposes was to acquaint others with the reality of their existence, and assist these beings in any way possible.
Guided to seek out and protect those that have fallen upon hard times, the family have ended up sharing their lives with a seemingly unending stream of canine avatar arrivals bringing with them joy, heartache and a wholly unorthodox perspective on life as we know it, changing the family's life forever.
As a messenger for beings of light, Mark has now channeled information the etheric wish to be known to groups and individuals across North America, for many years. The angels sought an even wider audience for the knowledge they imparted.
Some Dogs are Angels was the first book in a series that Mark was guided to write. Now in its 3rd print SDAA has proved to be something of a phenomenon, selling out within a short space of time whilst initially only being available in three stores in the tiny hamlet of Bragg Creek, Alberta. The sequel -Tails & Tribulations - enjoyed equal success and between them, the two books have sold a staggering 3,000 copies without any marketing or mainstream distribution. Mark is currently in the process of writing book 3 - A Piece of Heaven -which he is hopeful will be available early 2015.
The tale is an on-going one. The family's willingness to play their part and honour commitments made before they even incarnated has led to extraordinary situations and experiences of wonderment. Their story is warming, amusing, heart wrenching and occasionally downright bizarre. It is the most extraordinary true story you will ever read. But it is more than a story. Some Dogs Are Angels is now an organization dedicated to the rescue of Avatars that have found themselves cast aside, often by those they came to help in the first place.
